In response to daily prompt: The Eight Sin. You’re given the serious task of adding a new one to the list — another trait or behavior you find particularly unacceptable, for whatever reason.
Then let ignorance be the 8th cardinal sin.
When someone know that something is wrong, but pretend not to know and won’t do anything to fix it, or when we see someone in need, but won’t lend our hand, that is ignorance. And it won’t make the world a better place, hence why it should be the 8th cardinal sin.
I think we human should help each other, to get things right, and strive to make the world a better place. Too much focus on our wellness at the cost of those around us and the environment is ignorance.
So, ignorance will be the 8th cardinal sin.
I agree. But do you think it’s also under Sloth because people are too lazy to learn or apathetic to do anything about an issue???

Ummm… not really. Sloth is closer to laziness I would say. Ignorance people is not lazy. They are being insensitive with what happen around them, and make themselves look busy with other stuff.

I totally agree. IMHO, the original sin is ignorance. All other sins are born out of it. Glad to see I’m not alone.

It could be true actually.

I think I may have found proof, but having a hard time finding the words to explain. Thanks for commenting on the opinion

No links, but I’m working on a theory that hasn’t been debunked yet. I started a blog to see if the theory could hold up but haven’t found much opposition. My writing style leaves much to be desired, so I’m making another attempt. Here’s the link to the old site. https://weknownothing2015.wordpress.com
